Toilet facilities are a unique feature of the West Coast Trail. They are decorated by all manner of interesting paraphernalia, usually stuff that has been washed ashore. Buoys are a common feature and most have been carved to reflect the memory of some previous trekker who has left their initials in the buoys.
As welcome as these facilities are, they too can be treacherous since you have climb the rungs with to use the facilities. Woe to you if you have “urgent business” … haste not, waste not.
